Steve Jobs has resumed his active role at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, following a six-month leave of absence, according to Bloomberg. The CEO initially will be present only a few days a week during the transition to his normal duties. Although Jobs will still spend some time at home, he is expected to quickly resume a full schedule.

“Steve is back to work,” said Apple spokesman Steve Dowling. “We are very glad to have him back."

Although the iconic CEO claimed to be addressing nutritional troubles, he eventually admitted the...

It may be weeks before it's known exactly how TV pitchman Billy Mays died.

The well-known informercial salesman was found dead at his Tampa home on Sunday.

Preliminary findings seem to point to heart disease as the cause of death.

Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Dr. Vernard Adams spoke with reporters Monday afternoon and said early speculation that Mays may have died as a result of a blow to the head during a rough landing at Tampa International Airport was ruled out. There was "no evidence...of head trauma," Dr. Adams...

There's a lot of shouting happening in Kate Gosselin's house. The mother of eight children – twins Mady and Cara, 8, and sextuplets Alexis, Collin, Leah, Hannah, Aaden and Joel, 5 – has barely had time to change out of her morning workout clothes before her brood descends upon her, clinging to her legs and loudly wondering what to do given the rainy weather.

"Let's do a project," yells Kate, 34, above the clamor. The eight children race to the kitchen table and promptly pull out their construction paper and crayons to make Father’s...

On a PC, having to fill out a form and type in a credit card number to buy something is only mildly annoying. On a cellphone, it could make you want to skip the purchase entirely.

This is why investors, start-ups and major corporations are pouring money into services that make it easier to use cellphones to buy goods and transfer money.

The aim is to turn phones into virtual credit cards or checkbooks, enabling the kind of click-and-buy commerce and online banking that people have come to expect on their PCs. But shrinking down those...

Apple says it sold more than 1 million iPhone 3G S models through Sunday, eclipsing the 1 million iPhone 3G models it shipped in the first weekend last year.

This despite only selling the new phone in eight countries over the weekend, versus the iPhone 3G launch, where Apple filled retail channels in 21 countries.

Apple started taking pre-orders on June 8, so people had longer to make purchase decisions, and it seems like supply wasn't as constrained as it was in many locations last year.

But still a very impressive weekend that will...

Wikipedia has big plans for video; both in the sense of having more videos on the site, and letting contributors edit and annotate the actual videos.

The organization behind Wikipedia is close to launching an editable online video encyclopedia to enhance the current textual one. The hope is to revolutionize the popular reference site and goad content providers--from public broadcasters to the music industry--into allowing more video to enter the public domain.

Within two to three months, a person editing a Wikipedia article will find a...
