BMW unveiled the M1 Hommage Concept this weekend at the Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este. The concept pays tribute to the original M1, which just had its thirtieth birthday.
The overall design of the M1 Hommage draws inspiration from the original M1 and BMW Turbo Concept. The M1 Hommage concept is basically a modern day example of the original mid-engined M1.

Tesla Motors, which this month launched a battery-powered roadster based on the Lotus Elise, plans to raise $250m in equity and debt to fund a push into production of electric sedans.
