Batman's joust with the Joker has set another box office record.
Stoked by fan fever over the manic performance of the late Heath Ledger as the Joker, "The Dark Knight" set a one-day box office record with $66.4 million on opening day, Warner Bros. head of distribution Dan Fellman said Saturday.
The movie's Friday haul surpassed the previous record of $59.8 million set last year by "Spider-Man 3." "The Dark Knight" might break the opening-weekend record of $151.1 million, also held by "Spider-Man 3."

A batch of five tiny screenshots, concept art and a teaser trailer from Sony Online Entertainment Austin's DC Universe Online have been revealed, offering a first look at the PC and PlayStation 3 comic MMO.
The media appeared on the recently opened DC Universe Online MySpace page. No release date for the game has yet been announced, though more details are expected at this year's Comic-Con, taking place in San Diego later this month.

Christian Bale 'to make three Terminators', that’s what BBC news confirms anyhow.
Apparently Bale will be in all three. The story doesn’t say either way whether Arnold will be in any of them, but it sounds like they’re in it for the long haul if they’ve signed Bale for 3!
Now of course it could all go south real quick in which case if the new one tanks they just scrap the other 2 I suppose, but lets see what they do with this.

The Blu-ray 2.0 spec (or BD-Live) is just days from launch. Sony just announced that the next PlayStation3 firmware updated -- v2.20 -- will add the new interactive features to your PS3. As such, PS3 owners should expect downloadable video content, ringtones, interactive movie-based games, and the always intriguing "more" when the software is released in "late March." In other words, in the next 11 days. The update will also allow you to copy photos and music playlists over USB from your PS3 to your PSP.
There’s very little footage, but this looks like great fun. The the cast is fantastic and looks like they’re having the time of their lives playing actors who think they’re shooting a Vietnam movie but accidentally become involved in real combat when their exasperated director dumps them in the jungle. Over at the official Watchmen website, Zach Snyder has given us our first, complete, look at the costumes some of the characters are going to be wearing in the movie adaption of the popular comic. And they look fantastic! Yeah, they have changed in some ways but it works and they look wonderful.
