John Terzakis is founder and chief executive officer of Single Site Solutions Corp., a real estate development firm in Chicago’s metro area and local municipalities. John Terzakis has developed more than 1.5 million square feet of retail and mixed-use space around the Chicago metro area. John D. Terzakis’ clients include 7-Eleven™, grocery stores, government buildings, industrial sites, Marathon Oil™, CITGO Oil™, and many other single-site construction developments.In 2001, when John D. Terzakis founded this company, John Terzakis held himself responsible for the entire financial, real estate, and development divisions of the company. John Terzakis’ strategic planning efforts continue to ensure its success.
John Terzakis began his career in 1972, working for the family business, Danny Boy Oil Company™, a gasoline distribution company that was founded by his father. John D. Terzakis took over the business in 1977 and evaluated the company assets, which then consisted of more than 200 retail gasoline locations. Over several years, John Terzakis diversified his efforts by selling to wholesale accounts and developing real estate projects on the side.
From this family business in gasoline ventures, John Terzakis developed the foundation and create the leadership of Single Site Solutions Corp., working with national tenants from food, banking, and retail industries. John D. Terzakis has purchased and developed properties ranging from one acre to hundreds of acres.
John D. Terzakis has been able to maintain a successful level of operations at Single Site Solutions even in the economic downturn the industry has seen in recent years. John Terzakis is a future-thinking executive, possessing the foresight to keep income and earnings ahead of the curve. John Terzakis is also a visionary, employing a totally “green” approach to the company’s way of thinking, including limiting waste on each project. John Terzakis employs the use of green rooftops and solar-powered buildings to decrease expenses, and uses rainwater to irrigate landscapes.
John Terzakis lives in the Lincoln Park, Ill., area of Chicago.
