People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have named international singing star Leona Lewis their “2008 Person of the Year.”
The “Bleeding Love” singer gave up meat when she was 12 years old and has become a devoted supporter of preserving animal rights.
“Leona Lewis is admired for her beautiful voice, but it’s her kindness to animals that makes her a superstar in our book,” PETA Europe Director Robbie LeBlanc said in a statement Thursday.
