Capcom's Japanese site has just posted a new Resident Evil 4: Biohazard trailer for the Nintendo Wii version of the game. The 2-minute video, which strangely has English audio, shows off the new point-and-shoot control scheme and a few choice scenes from the game. Even better, it ends with zombies attacking the player's living room! Let's hope the controls are half as engrossing when it hits Japan's stores in May. The Indexing Service, which has been around since Windows 2000, was created to speed up file searches by cataloging local and remote drives. As a single index can take hours to create, many users will find it constantly running in the background and decreasing their PC's overall performance. Personally, I've never noticed a significant change search in speed whether it's on or off. This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to remove Indexing from XP.

After performing a clean install of Windows XP I was shocked to find MSN--Microsoft's own online service--already installed on my machine. Well, not as much shocked as just generally pissed at Microsoft's advertising practices. Luckily, I found a way to clean it off a free up some hard drive space. A few days ago Microsoft released a new application aimed at keeping users up-to-date on information regarding recent changes to their systems. The not so creatively titled, "Change Analysis Diagnostic Tool" uses old System Restore data to report system modifications like newly installed programs, security updates, and even browser helper objects. It's also a great way to check for new startup items you may have not known existed. Big 'M' says it decided to publish the tool because, "As computer programs grow more complex, extensible, and...

Finally, after more than 10 years of cross-platform rivalry, it looks like Sonic and Mario will get the chance to slug it out in the same game! Coming off years of speculation that the video game icons could clash in the next Super Smash Bros. title, it looks like competition between the plumber and the hedgehog will be much less fierce. That is, unless you consider table tennis a cut-throat sport. Get your Wii-motes and styluses primed and ready for "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games".
Scheduled for release in late 2007, Mario & Sonic...

Similar to the OLPC (One Laptop per Child) program that MIT birthed in early 2005, the ClassMatePC is an effort from Intel to provide cheap laptops to children in developing countries. Designed to be lightweight, rugged, and partially water resistant, the device clearly favors practicality to performance. Unfortunately, the laptop's technical specifications only weigh in at a 900MHz Celeron processor, 256MB of RAM, and a tiny--but speedy--flash based 1GB hard drive. I guess anything to keep costs low.
Intel says it plans to start...

After attending an Intel propaganda conference in Concord today, I couldn't help but be amazed by the number of fabrication plants the company owns. It's no secret that superior manufacturing has been the chip maker's key stepping stone in out pacing AMD in both efficiency and power consumption. Later this year Intel even plans to make the jump from 65nm to 45nm construction, a move that will help pave the way for affordable quad core processors to hit the stores this fall.
You see, as Intel begins to make the innards of their processors...

According to Nintendo's press release yesterday, the final version of the Opera browser will sport a few significant improvements over the current trial version. New features include improved zooming and scrolling, clearer fonts, faster load times, a quick link to favorites, and a 'www' button for easier URL entry. Personally, I'd like to see them focus more on site compatibility and an updated version of the flash player. You can download the full version later next month and try it for free until June.
